VidAngel is all about filters and we take them very seriously. If you were unpleasantly surprised, let's first make sure everything was set up correctly. If your filters were set correctly, but you still have questions or concerns, please contact us HERE. We want to hear how our product is working (or not working!) so we can make things right!

Check Your Filters
There are a few things you'll want to double-check on your account if your VidAngel viewing experience did not go as planned.
Watch on VidAngel
Make sure you're watching on VidAngel and not directly on your other streaming services. Our filters will only be applied if you're watching on our app or website.
Check that filters were selected
Within each category, there are numerous subcategories for you to break down the filters. You can get even more specific and choose individual filters under each subcategory (see What Filters options do you provide?)
To activate a filter, simply click on it. If the filter is gray with a line through it, then you will not see or hear those items. If the filter is white and fully visible, then you will see and hear those items.
You'll want to read the filter descriptions so you don't get caught off-guard. If you don't want to see any kissing and select that category, but fail to select filters in the "Implied Sex" category, then you will see some kissing and more.
Check that filters were selected in the correct place
We have 3 different places you can set filters:
For example, say you watched a movie with your spouse and decided to watch it again with your family. You might want to adjust the Filters to be better suited for children. Changing the Default Filters won't apply to something you've already watched because Show-Specific Filters will override them. So in this situation you'll want to make sure to adjust the Show-Specific Filters before viewing it again with your kids.
Missing a Filter

Filter Didn't Work
If you selected a filter in the correct place and it did not work, then please contact us and give us the details so we can get things fixed faster. If you can remember (we don't expect you to go back and watch something you didn't want to see in the first place), tell us:
- The timestamp for when the filter was not applied or what was happening on screen / in the story
- Which filter(s) was not applied
