Devices Are Not on the Same WIFI Network
Your Roku and mobile device will need to be on the same WIFI network so they can "see" each other. Click here to find out how to check if your Roku and mobile device are on the same internet network.
Devices Are Too Old
To work with the VidAngel apps, your mobile device should be Android 8 or iOS 10.0 (you can still technically download VidAngel on Android 6, but it will likely have playback and casting issues). You'll also want to make sure you have the most updated version of the VidAngel app on your mobile device. You can check that here: iOS and Android
Your Roku TV or Roku box should be at least a generation 3 with a minimum OS of 8.0. You check the OS on your Roku by going to Settings > System > About > look at the Software Version
You can also check if your Roku needs to be updated. You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > System Update > Check Now
Roku "Device connect" is Not Enabled
Check the Advanced Settings on your Roku to ensure it's allowed to connect to external devices.
To do this go to Settings > System > Advanced System Settings and then enable Device connect and Control by mobile apps
Reboot Your Devices
Force/hard close the VidAngel mobile app (sometimes said as "kill the app") and then restart your mobile device
You can reboot the Roku by unplugging it or manually restart it:
Roku boxes: Settings > System > System Restart > Restart
Roku TVs: Settings > System > Power > System Restart > Restart
Casting From an iOS device: Turn on permissions
You may need to turn on local permissions for the VidAngel app. You can see how to do that here: Can't Cast From iOS
